A Quiet Night Out

Celtic Fireworks Logo

To Alconbury last night for a Trade night with Celtic Fireworks. Celtic are one of the largest suppliers of fireworks in the UK and we base many of our displays and retail ranges around their fantastic products.

This was a demonstration of some of their best quiet fireworks. We already stock many of them, but it was a chance to see some new ones and order them in time for November 2019. As soon as they are in the UK we will get our delivery, and make the retail products available on this site. We will also be supplying Category 4 products (which are for professional use only) to our trade customers.

So keep an eye out.

Raise Money Through Fireworks

Field set up with stalls as part of a community fireworks display

We work closely with several communities to help them raise funds for local causes. For the past 3 years we have helped Radcliffe On Trent to run their own Bonfire Night event, and it just keeps getting bigger and better.

The local schools, sports clubs, Boys’ Brigade and others get together and put on one of the best displays for miles around. Thousands of people come every year, and it  is one of the key events in the village calendar.

If you would like to find out how to run your own community fireworks display, to entertain the crowd and to raise money at the same time… just give us a call

ZIADA: 5 Minds Better Than One

5 students meet to advise us on marketing

To the University of Nottingham, where this brilliant team of students are helping me with some research on marketing.

They’ve called themselves ZIADA (using their initials) and have already done some really useful background research for me, and are now digging deeper and coming up with advice on the best way of reaching new customers.

It’s part of a project run by the University where students are set a Consultancy Challenge, and work on a real business issue on behalf of a local company or charity.

Private party

Barn conversion used as the venue for a fireworks display

To the beautiful, secluded Skyfall holiday house in Somerset to run a firework display for a private party.

Once again it was a low noise display so that we didn’t break the tranquility of  the area, or disturb the cows in the neighbouring dairy farm.

We don’t think they heard us, but we could just about hear them mooing in appreciation of the show.

Low Noise, High Excitement

Bride, Groom and guests look up at the sky during a fireworks display for a wedding

Some wedding venues only allow quiet fireworks. But that doesn’t mean they have to be dull. This weekend we were at the spectacular Pumping House in Ollerton to fire a low-noise display for the wedding of our special friends Ellie and Ed.

As you can see the fireworks went down (or went up) really well.
(With thanks to Sassy at assassynation for the great photo.)

Our partners at Electrify can supply fantastic low-noise professional displays like this across the UK. And we have several quieter products on this site which are suitable for use in your own back gardens or in rural settings where you don’t want to upset neighbours or frighten animals.

Just ask for details when you call.

Time to restock

Red and gold fireworks burst in a night sky

We’ve still got a great range of products in our stores. But it’s time to order some more.

The main stocks of fireworks for the UK are ordered in Spring, made in the Summer (mostly in China), arrive here in August, and sold in the Autumn. This means we have to plan up to 18 months ahead. And for a growing business like ours that can be tricky.

Fortunately our friends at Electrify Pyrotechnics (who we work with on all their big public displays throughout the year) are really experienced at working out what they need to have in the country. And when they need it.

And our feedback from all our lovely retail customers tells us what you like to use yourselves at your parties, your celebrations, and every time you need an excuse to have some fireworks.

So if there’s anything you would like us to get for you, now’s the time to ask.

Free Delivery a Big Hit

Consumer fireworks brochure and price list

Our new free delivery service is a big hit. Who would have guessed?

Maybe people like the idea that they can come to this site, get clear guidance on the best fireworks available, and see that they are great value.

Maybe they like the way they can preview the fireworks and make their final choices without having to leave the house.

Maybe they like the way we deliver them direct to their home or office. For free. At a time that works for them.

If you want to find out why it’s so popular, give it a try. But hurry… the last day for on-line orders which can be delivered in time for Bonfire Night is October 31st.

Just arrived for Nov 5th

A container load of fireworks arrives at the depot for safe storage

Here’s our latest delivery of fireworks… all the way from China.

And you can buy some of them from this site today.

There are three main grades of fireworks in this delivery. Category 4 (which can only be used by professional display companies). And Category 3 and Category 2 fireworks which are smaller and can be sold to, and used by, the general public.

Having said that, the consumer ones we buy from companies like Celtic and Hallmark, are so good that we use them in our displays, which are designed and run by the brilliant  Electrify Pyrotechnics.
